Iran to Host 13th Regional Assembly of ICA’s Asia-Pacific
TEHRAN- Iran will host the 13th regional assembly of the Asia and Pacific section of International Co-operative Alliance in 2018, according to Alireza Qaragozlou, the deputy chairman of Iran Chamber of Cooperatives for international affairs.
The official said that in addition to the significant result this hosting will bring for Iran’s cooperative sector, it will indirectly create income for the country, Tasnim news agency reported on Tuesday.
The 12th regional assembly and related events were held in New Delhi, India from November 15 to 19, 2016.
The International Co-operative Alliance (ICA) is a non-governmental co-operative federation or, more precisely, a co-operative union representing co-operatives and the co-operative movement worldwide. It was founded in 1895 and represents 284 co-operative federations and organizations in 95 countries.
